My journey into the holistic wellness space began like many others – a result of dealing with health issues at an early age. I was battling both an autoimmune disease and pre-diabetes at the age of 23 as a result of chronic stress, obesity, poor nutrition, and a sedentary lifestyle. I carried these habits throughout college as my body was in survival mode – making no time to actively rest as a full-time student with 3 part-time jobs. At this point I had completely severed the connection between my mind and body. This eventually caught up to me where I was unable to thrive in my professional life while dealing with a few health scares. This awakening propelled my acknowledgement that I needed to prioritize my health.

Through focusing on increased movement, a change in my diet, and mind-body practices, I began to feel empowered as I made these lifestyle changes. I was able to reverse my pre-diabetic symptoms, heal my insomnia, and lose 100 pounds! The positive mindset that came from this transformation allowed for me to create long-term, sustainable health changes that I actively practice years later. The primary takeaway from this process is that long-term habit formation takes small persistent steps – it doesn’t happen overnight! However, it is such a beautiful daily process to honor your body’s needs and nourish it the way it deserves.

After continuing my education around nutrition and holistic wellness, I decided to leave the marketing world and pursue what I’m truly passionate about – helping others make a similar transition, no matter how big or small. I can’t stop learning and sharing about connecting with our natural world as a resource for our food, medicine, and stress reduction.

In the spring of 2024 I completed my certification in Health & Wellness Coaching through MindBodyGreen, and am actively enrolled in a program to become a certified herbalist.

Feeling empowered about your own wellness is something that I believe everyone deserves to feel. Our health is our greatest asset, and It has been my passion to share this love with others so that they feel empowered as well. This practice involves continual dedication, but also giving yourself grace as life has to be enjoyed in the process! My goal is to help others find that balance.
